With over seven million customers, ING-DiBa is the largest direct bank in Germany. Its core business areas are savings, securities transactions, construction financing, consumer loans and current accounts. The bank does without an expensive branch network and instead offers its customers understandable products and favourable conditions. ING-DiBa is available to its customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The business magazine €uro named ING-DiBa Germany's "Most Popular Bank 2012" and the readers of BÖRSE ONLINE voted ING-DiBa "Online Broker of the Year 2012".
ING-DiBa AG with its Frankfurt headquarters and almost 2,000 employees has moved from its old headquarters in Theodor-Heuss-Allee in Frankfurt a.M. to the former "Poseidon-Haus". The largest direct bank has signed a long-term lease with Deka Immobilien GmbH for an area of more than 40,000 square meters. The owner invested around 100 million euros in a comprehensive revitalization of the LEO building. From three solitary buildings so far, a high-rise building with a new look has been created through comprehensive energy-related conversion, extension and renovation measures.
The Closed Cavity Façade (CCF), unique in Germany, allows natural ventilation and is combined with other innovative elements such as profiled textile concrete. In the course of a sustainable improvement of the heating and air-conditioning technology, the future-oriented energy concept will consume less electricity and heating energy, thus reducing CO2 emissions. The aim is to obtain LEED certification as a "Gold" Green Building.
The new headquarters will offer the almost 2,000 employees of ING-DiBa AG in the heart of Frankfurt state-of-the-art workplaces and a significantly improved infrastructure. The office ensemble, consisting of a 9-storey and two 17-storey building sections, also offers space for around 100 commercial banking colleagues of INGBank N.V., Frankfurt Branch.
The IT equipment at the new headquarters is also of the highest standard: 1,300 MHz cabling at all workstations, 100% WLAN, LTE network coverage, Voice-over-IP and smartphones for everyone. As a certified partner of LEONI Kerpen GmbH, Frings Network Solutions GmbH implemented the sophisticated high-speed data network according to the latest standards so that the building can be LEED-certified.
Deka Immobilien completed the shell of the building in only nine months, condensing the formerly three-part ensemble of buildings into a coherent office complex. To this end, the rotunda in the middle of the ensemble was demolished and replaced by a 17-storey new building. This connects the existing building parts with each other, which were comprehensively revitalized at the same time. In a record time of only two years, a modern office complex was created that combines old and new. To keep to the tight schedule, up to 450 people worked on the construction site every day.
